Savings app

As part of a design sprint we designed a novel mobile app that helps people reduce impulse buying.

The goal of this project was to deliver a proof of concept for a savings app that would help people fight impulse buying. It was to be presented by Rob, the Group Head of UX at Ipsos MORI for the experience innovation team.

We re-worked their paper sketches and provided designs and a prototype based on a quick stakeholder interview, all in about a day.

We use Figma to co-design rapidly.

Location-based alerts

One of the core ideas was to alert the user in areas they usually spend money, such as near their local Starbucks. Instead of spending the money on a coffee, with a click of a button they could move the money to a savings pot, getting instant gratification.
